Drop-in Groups

Connect with Norwood Centre and other families in your community with our fun and FREE drop-in parent-child groups. These groups help you boost your child's learning and development through play! ​​​

​

Facilitators: All groups are facilitated by human services professionals who specialize in early childhood development and healthy families. Ask them your parenting questions - they can help!

​​Highlights:

  • Parents and children play together in a child-friendly environment 

  • Healthy snacks are served

  • Opportunity to meet new people in your community 

  • Referrals to other programs and services

Come and get messy with us at Norwood!

We will be creating, playing, and having fun with different art materials. Explore with your child all the fun that can be had with water, paint, chalk, and glue - just to name a few!

Stay and Play

Visit one of our indoor play spaces to enjoy fun activities with your children and meet people in your community! All are welcome; play spaces are designed for ages birth to six years old.

Jumping Gym Time

Run, jump, climb, and move with your child in our play space with games and activities that build strong muscles!

Baby and Toddler Exploration Time

A time for parents/caregivers and children to explore the five senses through stories, songs, rhymes, games, and movement. For children ages birth to two years old; siblings are welcome.

Growing Together
(Parent and Child Education Group)

A positive and safe gathering place for expecting and new parents with infants up to one year old. Access free resources and information, try new activities, and bond with your baby!

Music in the Park

Each week we will explore different ways to makemusic outdoors. We will use our voices, hands,and other music-makers. We will also make instruments to take home.

Spray Park Adventures

Meet us at the spray park this summer! Enjoy our fun bag of activities, play at the playground, or dress to get wet. Remember to bring your towel!

Explore the Outdoors

Let’s explore the outdoors! Get outside with us and explore the benefits of risky play and connecting with nature! In the vent of harsh weather conditions, this group will move inside. 

Frolic in the Forest

Come with us and explore the magic that is the forest! In this group, we will start at the park and work our way through a local ravine space where we will play, explore, and take part in nature!

Art and Sensory

Storytime Adventures

Join us for a fun story and adventures! In this group you and your child will participate in activities related to a storybook!
